Each year I am more and more grateful for the gift of Jesus in my life as well as the gift of my husband. No, it’s not always easy. It’s not always full of goosebumps. It’s messy and wonderful all wrapped up together. One of the sweetest things to see is an older couple walking hand in hand together – enjoying the fruit of their labor. The sweet fruit from the labor of tending to their marriage relationship.
There are choices we can make each day to help fan the flame of love. It’s the little things that make the big difference. Things like togetherness and shared experiences. Things like intentional communication throughout the day. Don’t buy into the lie that marriage always has to be hard. We make it hard by selfishness and false expectations.
Maybe all that’s needed for a better marriage is a slight shift – a small change – a little thing.
Take a moment to listen in to a short video blog from Dany and me as we chat about the little things that have made a big difference in our marriage. Every marriage is unique but hearing from those who have stayed in the game is encouraging. We’d love your feedback of what has worked for you as well!
